New products: metallised radar antennas, copper-plated textile, selectively coated conductors

SAXONIA Galvanik GmbH is a leading company in the field of decorative plastic electroplating – not only of ABS or PC-ABS but also of polyamides and other high-performance engineering plastics. Applications can be found in the sectors of mobility, sanitary ware, domestic appliances, mechanical engineering and many exciting niche markets. Under the CREON Metal Surfaces brand, particularly sustainable manufacturing processes are offered. These include, amongst other things, being completely free from chromium(VI) and PFAS, as well as being 100% recyclable and thus suitable for circular economy applications.
SAXONIA Galvanik has also established itself as one of Europe’s leading providers of functional plastic coatings. Properties such as component shielding – for example, in the electronics sector – are particularly important in this context.
Significant progress has been made in the development of innovative coatings for waveguides and radar antennas as part of multi-year development projects. These will be showcased to industry professionals for the first time at Fakuma 2026.
We are currently seeking further partners from relevant sectors to explore the potential for electroplating textiles.
With the additional focus on metal electroplating (coating of current-carrying components), a further business segment has been established. 3 large-scale plants and innovative technologies are now available for this purpose. These include, for example, technical solutions such as selective, resource-efficient and cost-saving coating using secondary raw materials (tin, silver) sourced from metal recycling companies in the immediate vicinity of the company.
In an electroplating and supply industry characterised by economic challenges and disruption, SAXONIA Galvanik, together with its customers, has succeeded in maintaining economic stability and security. Alongside high quality, this is also a reason for the numerous successful project takeovers following relocations.
